I don’t know about you but I think this Song of Songs scripture section sounds like a broken record to me. I mean, Solomon did have 800 wives and 300 concubines. So he must have said that kind of stuff over and over and over and over again. You think?
So my apologies to the romantics, but I just am happy to skip over writing about it, this go thru, to get to the Prophet Isaiah on the other side. Jesus junkie jumping. The only other thing I noticed was myrrh myrrh myrrh and sweet-smelling spices must have been mentioned dozens of times. Hmmm… You may think the time of Solomon was SUPER romantic from these scriptures, but I’m telling you, I THANK THE LORD I was born in the PRESENT, for I was born for a time like this: an era with running clean, potable cool water that’s CHEAPER THAN DIRT. (Trust me I’ve bought dirt/soil, it’s MORE pricey per cubic feet compared to water plus the clean sewer system too., haha)
.
Anyway, I’m saving Song of Songs for another day.
Maybe someday a man worthy will come my way.
We will work side by side for the Lord in a blessed way.
Till the soil, adventure out, teach the Word in some new Way.
Plus adventures and what not, HOORAY!
Lord, make him SWEET smelling too, OK?
That is, IF it is in Your Plan for me, maybe Lord, someday.
It might be a new chapter, my discernment would say.
Meanwhile, don’t let me pine away.
You Lord are SUFFICIENT for me, each and every day.
Amen
