It’s the reality check that stuns me on occasion, Jesus made me thirst for His Word, understanding it yes – but also cutting myself some slack if I can’t understand it all yet – right now, it is OK – and it IS OK to be sharing it in my own way, living best I can but knowing that we will always be falling short (hey, don’t take it so hard, even Paul the apostle admitted he wasn’t able to be completely Godly 24/7, especially when it comes to that jealousy commandment, he and we are human, of course), but reality checks of needing God becomes in us a desire, recovery and re-fire of the Light which never goes out.
Walk in the Light and keep looking for that Light for the right Way.
Walk in the Light. I LOVE looking up at church at the beautiful stained glass windows over 100 years old. I am in one church now for community each sunday – two others for community when I can get there – and one more I can’t usually get to but listen to for deep deep scriptural teachings verse by verse – for which I can listen online sunday mornings and then repeat listen during my hour commute… Well, I prepped last night, Saturday night, for the Sunday deep Bible lesson that Pastor would be preaching on, Jesus crucifixions, and then caught the online 8am service live – in a blessedly Holy Spirit feed to my phone. And I thought to myself last night – wow, here I am on a Saturday night looking up the most riveting bible verses!!!! yes, I (you, we) have to pause once in a while and appreciate that GOD CHANGED US – GOD CHANGED ME – and appreciate that we HUNGER for the Word – and those who do not read it are hungering for the Light they may not know where it comes from – and that only Jesus satisfies… It is good to remind ourselves that even with all the tools and apps and lessons, there is no substitute for opening that book our own self… letting our own self be led.
Walk in the Light.
Here is the scripture which caught my eye, Saturday night style, then again Sunday morning stunning repeat view… Walk in the Light – especially if you (me right now) find yourself well past darkness outside in the dark because you want to write about the Light…
Amen and Good night!!!!
Walk in the Light -John 12:42-50
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”
