In God’s Hands

Standard

There’s something I was NOT been worrying about, an unusual something. My son’s doctor saw it and wanted it checked out – probably nothing but a specialist doctor would have to see it to know that, with all their fancy instruments. Did I take any time to worry about it. Certainly I did not prepare for it (paperwork so last minute too), but it was something for which we proceeded one step at a time. EARLY morning, down in the city, a VERY EARLY appointment. Our praise is that we have great doctors and their knowledge base. It is funny how the early-ness of the appointment distracted from the potential situation. Well, it all went very well. THANK GOD!

I was not worried because the doctor was not worried, and I was especially not worried because I never took it out of God’s Hands. Maybe later I thought I will worry, but I prayed that not to happen either. I was sure there was nothing I can help with by worrying, so I didn’t. I DO PRAY, I do walk this road, drive it actually, and focused moment by moment – was more worried about parking in center city but probably not a problem at 6am. Now I could have been worried about the impending rainstorm but I have good tires and maybe the rain would chase away the traffic. I also could have complained about leaving the house at 5am, but I was not going to complain there either, those doctors start even earlier.

Anyway, prayers were appreciated but worrying was NOT.

We especially pull close to God when we pause to pray.

We don’t and won’t have to put something in God’s Hands if we never took it out of His… And honestly, everything IS always in GOD’S HANDS.

Amen

PS – these are prayers I request for others – to help pull them and us closer to God: friends with covid, including an ICU-bound mom, who passed away, of a college friend. Prayers for people with illnesses and challenges. Prayers for a friend who lost their dog recently.  Prayers for all the people in Israel and Gaza and Ukraine, which barely makes the news anymore, and all the sickness, famine and wars including human trafficking which never makes the news… May the Lord intervene.

And… Prayers in a positive way appreciated for all to see the wonder and hope of Christmas and to know the Lord, for their sake and His.  Amen
