It’s a great day for a walk. The weather is warm for this time of year. I made a trek to the cemeteries near home. Instead of greenery decorations, I decided to leave some gingerbread cookies… It was a great trip up home and now I’m driving back. Saw fabulous family. Christmas is all about making spirits bright!!! Christmas is Jesus being most humble.
And a walk in the cemetery was nice to remember my grandparents, my aunts uncles cousins… And there it is remembering spirits bright!
Imagine walking with Jesus in His day and now. Jesus walked A LOT, sometimes rode in a boat, and occasionally for purpose He rode an animal. Certainly we know He walked in religious duty to Jerusalem and back, and He walked into the wilderness occasionally for prayer and purpose. Even Jesus, fully God, checked in with God the Father Almighty.
The scriptures tell us: Proverbs 21:3
“To do righteousness and justice is more desirable to the LORD than sacrifice” and the infamous important Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
How can we walk closer with Jesus, closing out 2024 into 2025? Trying to not judge others, not judge our past too harshly either, and determine our best approach to the future. Make Spirits BRIGHT! . How about walking consulting the Lord? When we share love we are sharing the Lord. Let us ask Him the best Way in His Way. Walk in His Hand, not stopping either when He is pulling us, not feeling embarrassed when He is carrying us. Just be at HIS pace. Blessed.
And learn from history as we know many did not walk with Jesus. (Like some of Micah’s time.) Let us be His.
Today, tomorrow, 2024, 2025, forever.
Amen

Micah 6:1-8
The Lord’s Case Against Israel
Listen to what the Lord says: “Stand up, plead my case before the mountains; let the hills hear what you have to say.
“Hear, you mountains, the Lord’s accusation; listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth. For the Lord has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel.
“My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me. I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you, also Aaron and Miriam. My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.”
With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God
