Recently – I saw a scene – and it was a moment that I could not hear what was going on but I knew the scene – I knew the frustration – a little boy (it seems) was well behind another sibling and perhaps their mom who was leaving – and the boy was protesting and crouched to the ground and frustrated and well, I have imagined this into the scene because we have all been there – at least I have – and the stubbornness of a tirade or the frustration of not being understood – or the temper tantrum induced “I give up” that the mom felt and acted upon… They were leaving and perhaps nothing was resolved – perhaps in the car the conversation was important about consequences – at least this is how I saw it in my long-view – of the little boy on the sidewalk… And maybe I am envisioning the mom’s frustration too much but I have been there… Maybe she was showing tough love and they left the event – which is frustrating in itself… Ah yeah, been there, done that – things are better now – those times with little ones is a far memory for me…
“The Lion lays down with the Lamb.” – We have heard this phrase taken from scripture but what does it mean? It is actually inferred from a longer scripture and it all means there will be a time when peace will prevail and enemies will cease to fight each other – and Jesus will be revered and all will be OK. Jesus will see with His Righteousness and not our wrongness. Isaiah foretold this and his writings bring vivid imagery of the stuff that dreams are made of – PEACE in play. Isn’t that both a nice thought and a hope into reality someday? And scenes like frustration will stop – scenes like fighting and temper tantrums will stop – and wars will cease – and life will truly be GOOD. The Wisdom and Spirit of God will rest on the Messiah and all of us will “delight in the fear of the Lord” – an AWE-event – an AWESOME time.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
Oh, that little boy on the sidewalk – I would imagine Jesus next to him saying “it is OK”, calming him down, and I imagine Jesus with the Mom too, saying “I understand, this is hard…”… I imagine this but I also know this because I know this has happened in my lifetime – and His Righteousness undercut the frustration – and the forgiveness was real and healing and the reality was righted. And the LONGVIEW is a view best seen thru JESUS’S HEART…
I do imagine a day of forgiveness – of peace – of hope – and of the Lord’s Lift – for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord…
Amen and Keep the Faith!

Isaiah 11:1-10 NIV – speaking prophesy of Jesus the Messiah coming
The Branch From Jesse
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.
Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.
The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling together;
and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear,
their young will lie down together,
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra’s den,
and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy
on all my holy mountain,
for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.
In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.
