I am so THANKFUL this Christmas – seems more like I’ve arrived at the life stage of less worrying about expectations (although we moms still inflict this on ourselves) and more appreciative of time together (which is what I have appreciated in the adult kids – and setting aside time to decompress and to be homebodies – if just for a minute) and blessed for remembering the reason for the season  during ALL the season(s). 

God does not change and therefore Jesus was always true and worthy and intending to come save us. May we appreciate that each morning and each moment – a fresh faith filling forever in moment by moment soothing doses.

Around here, Santa came on the firetruck last afternoon and it brought tears to my eyes as Santa’s firefighter helpers have been working very hard these last few days. The rescues of the fire company – they run into the danger. The rescue of the Lord – He came as a baby – and grew in His human form to establish that He understands us – and to fulfill the prophecies – and He came to rescue “when the time was right” – and start His Plan for bringing us safely HOME.

May we remember our blessings – all of them this time of year.
