In the wind of today – we will try not to blow away!
It is cold but OK – the wind is bold but we will travel anyway!
My mom has visited for a few days and today we will plan to drive up to her home – it is both home south and home north… Home is where your heart is – so it is good to share love spread love and just be wherever you are… It was good to have her here to love on the grandkids and vice versa – they do love their grandma !
In the scriptures of Matthew – the recounted tale of the travels of the baby Jesus with Mom and Dad Mary and Joseph meant He moved around – and even later Jesus would say that the Son of man had no place to lay His Head – but we do know that Jesus IS LOVE and spread the LOVE wherever He went… And in the early travels – from Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem – then down to Egypt – then up to Israel hoping for Judea – but picked the area of Galilee settling in Nazareth because of the rulers of the time still were a threat (from Rome to these local rulers) were still so against the jews of Israel, even in Israel.
Jesus also growing up in the area of Nazareth fulfilled a prophecy of the Messiah being a “Nazarene”. See Jesus was from many places and NOT – as Jesus was of the Holy Spirit birth into this World – and we like Him are of Heaven and not even this world… Our HOME is where our heart is – and let us remember to keep our heart and our treasures stored up in Heaven and protected from the barbs of this world… Let us strengthen our hearts too – as the Lord’s return could be at any time (book of James)…
Most of all – since HOME is where our hearts are – let us spread the LOVE – spread the LOVE…
AMEN

Matthew 2: 19- The Home in Nazareth
Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.
But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
