I am traveling, so prewriting about my favorite topics:
HOPE is not just a whimsy – not just wishful thinking – but HOPE is a Holy Spirit gift of knowing prophetically and really and reality of Jesus having been, done, doing, going to do. HOPE is to strengthen and encourage – filling you with Joy – that is what the devotion stated – a direct retelling of the scriptures in the Jesus Calling book by Sarah Young. HOPE is an anchor for the soul, as the Hebrews letter wrote – encouraging us in what we can’t see but we know – and that we know from deep within us not just the thoughts of the day.
Hope is being spiritually alive in the ultimate destination so then a benefit is the being OK in temporary situations. Hope is meant to tap into that “wondrous Joy” – and JOY is knowing HOPE. Both are brought to you by the Power of the Holy Spirit.
And HOPE is JOY and JOY is HOPE in the HOLY SPIRIT showing the WAY…
AMEN
Jesus Calling: December 15 by Sarah Young: Written as if Jesus speaking direct:
Your longing for heaven is good, because it is an extension of your yearning for Me. The hope of heaven is meant to strengthen and encourage you, filling you with wondrous Joy. Many Christians have misunderstood this word hope, believing that it denotes wishful thinking. Nothing could be further from the truth! As soon as I became your Savior, heaven because your ultimate destination. The phrase hope of heaven highlights the benefits you can enjoy even while remaining on earth. This hope keeps you spiritually alive during dark times of adversity; it brightens your path and heightens your awareness of My Presence. My desire is that you may overflow with hope by the great power of the Holy Spirit.
