SET ASIDE

Standard

My Dad set aside some coins for me, now vintage  like me, like this set of my birth year, in a bag with my name “DEBBIE” on it with big block letters. These coins are not super rare or valuable, but because they were set aside, they are PRECIOUS to me. My Dad set aside for me, for sentimental remembering and for worldly value too, but the most value to me is the sticker where he wrote my name himself, he took the time to set it aside and to direct it to me.

Our Heavenly Father also has and will “set aside” – set aside not necessarily worldly things but “set aside” you and me. Yes He sets us aside from worldliness. Our God, names us as His. We are set aside uniquely and for forever.

Our Lord will also call us with a new given name, revealed to us in Heaven. We are set aside by name

Our Father Who Art in Heaven will greet us there too. We are set aside by LOVE.

On earth as it is in Heaven, our Lord Jesus has shown us the Way and tells us we are His, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” We are set aside as His.

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish...” We are set aside for forever.

“neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” We are set aside and not forgotten.

We are set aside for PURPOSE.

We are set aside BECAUSE WE ARE CHERISHED.

The Truth Shall Make us Free – WE ARE SET ASIDE BECAUSE OF GOD’S TRUTH IN US.

Let us TRUST in GOD.

AMEN

JOHN 8:31-36 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

John 10:27-28 KJV

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

2 Corinthians 5:12-21 NKJV

Be Reconciled to God
For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart. For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you. For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
