I was sitting early this morning awaiting an appointment, and it was so good to have the Lord’s company in His Word… These readings today were so good: the Jesus Calling devotion and Jesus Always devotion…

I didn’t get a chance to come back to my blog until now, the end of the day,  and I’m glad that my day was sandwiched in between times to read these passages and these scriptures.

Because my appointment was so early this morning, I truly felt the need for a nap and I took a power nap, not too long but enough. What was hard was thinking I had to get out of my nice warm covers. I was sandwiched in between the warmth of the top and the comfort below. But I did have to get up, and I realized I had still a jacket on, and so I wasn’t cold. 

This is what reminded me that when we are sandwiched in between the love layers of the Lord  we enjoy that warmth. We are also to take that warmth with us. Don’t go anywhere without it. And remember, just like that jacket was tight against me, the Lord will NEVER leave us.

Jesus Calling: February 25 Sarah Young 

    Rest in My Presence, allowing Me to take charge of this day. Do not bolt into the day like a racehorse suddenly released. Instead, walk purposefully with Me, letting Me direct your course one step at a time. Thank Me for each blessing along the way; this brings Joy to both you and Me. A grateful heart protects you from negative thinking. Thankfulness enables you to see the abundance I shower upon you daily. Your prayers and petitions are winged into heaven’s throne room when they are permeated with thanksgiving. In everything give thanks, for this is My will for you.

Jesus Always: February 25 Sarah Young 

The LIGHT OF MY GLORY is shining on you,  beloved. Look up to Me with worship in your heart. Let the radiance of My Love fall upon you and soak into the depths of your being. Savor these moments alone with Me. I am using them to make you more like Me. The more you keep your gaze on Me – in quiet times and busy times – the better you can reflect My Glory to other people.

    Staying conscious of Me when you’re busy can be quite a challenge. But I have created you with an amazing mind that can function on more than one “track”. Practicing My Presence involves dedicating one track to your relationship with Me. This practice has many benefits: When you are aware that I am present with you, you’re less likely to do or say something that’s displeasing to me. When you’re struggling with difficult circumstances, or painful feelings, awareness of my presence offers courage and comfort. I can use everything in your life for good – transforming you into My likeness, with ever-increasing Glory.

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2 CORINTHIANS 3:18

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the spirit.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
