A continued recipe to strengthen us – from Heaven. We are to be strengthened by the knowledge that God is the one strengthening us – that He is guiding us place to place and even when we stay still – and He, our Lord Almighty, is guarding us – our hearts and our steps. For this we are to be thankful and to step carefully and to return to Him – going WITH God.

We continue from St Patrick’s Prayer – the middle part – more strengthening and arising. A recipe to remind – because when we see the majesty of the creations of the Lord – how can we not also realize that He cares for and strengthens us…  We are an amazing part of His creation – a VERY GOOD part.

Part 2 of St Patrick’s Poem:

I arise today –

through The strength of heaven, The light of the sun, The radiance of the moon, The splendour of fire, The speed of lightning, The swiftness of wind, The depth of the sea, The stability of the earth, The firmness of rock.

I arise today –

through God’s strength to pilot me, God’s might to uphold me, God’s wisdom to guide me, God’s eye to look before me, God’s ear to hear me, God’s word to speak for me, God’s hand to guard me, God’s shield to protect me, God’s host to save me From snares of devils, From temptation of vices, From everyone who shall wish me ill, afar and near.
