Follow up to “No Points, Batman”… 07MAR, 08MAR

My son saw the title of the email blog I just wrote about yesterday (#379) and asked me about the Batman reference… I didn’t tell him the full story but I told him about the little boy whom I got to entertain and discuss Batman with, while his parents were having a serious conversation. Later when my son got dressed he came downstairs in a Batman t-shirt…. YEAH, oh that moved me immensely… There is no greater job I have as a mom and as a Christian to encourage others “to be Batman” –  meaning for them use the spiritual tools that God has graced them with – to do God’s work – and especially to comfort others….

There is a great Facebook meme photo that says: “You can be anyone you want to be, unless you’re Batman, then BE BATMAN”…. Thanks God for Facebook…

Perfect email verse of the day also matches today – and it was also the VBS scripture on that bible buddy tag I most hoped that little boys family would read… I LOVE God’s duplications… the bible message was that we are comforted by God SO that WE CAN comfort others…. that is the point…. and everything points to God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4:  Praise to the God of All Comfort

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
