I used to be superstitious a little about Friday the 13th, full moons (except I truly once was in an emergency room once on a crazy full moon night), and just the phrase “Beware the Ides of March” – for March 15th – because the phrase itself I could say in deep foreboding tones… funny or fun or fundamentally wrong? Back luck is not a thing but certainly feels like a thing. Good luck is thought to a thing if you think of it as blessings. but luck is no luck at all – and the Ides of March only pertains to you if you are Greek, named Caesar, and have pre-meditating friends – yeah I fail at that in all 3 categories…
There is ONE thing that DOES pertain to the Ides of March – it is the birthday of our dear friend Miss Bonnie – crafter, glitter gem and Jesus lover extraordinaire. I remember distinctly when she was so proud to be bewared because she was born on the ides of March. Yeah she beware her bewonderful scarriness. Glitter everywhere…
I must say I miss her greatly, but am so glad she didn’t have to live through covid fear times… just no AC with her uncontrolled asthma was bad enough…
So a memory of sweetness… She loved the Lord and often wore a Jesus Reese’s peanut butter cup orange shirt… She visited elderly just as much as the kiddos… She KNEW Jesus was the Way through – through to Heaven – and Heaven she went to – sleeping from a diabetic coma but now dancing with Jesus.
Amen. Love you my Miss Bonnie!
