Our Potter and His Clay, His Light Way… 05APR, #1444

Standard

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us

Like a Potter, God is Master of the clay, His Clay. God is IN charge of the wetness of the slip. God shapes the vessels of us over and over again with His Hands. God makes us strong yet just from dust.

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

We do hit bumps in the road and our imperfections show. We are, however, OK, because God makes the clay smooth again when we let Him take charge of us, clean out our rough spots and loose clay outcastings. Then, when we rest in His Will, stop moving so fast, we can dry and lighten our load.

Persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

We are to know that the fire only strengthens us, makes us suitable for service. A kiln for ceramic pottery and our spiritual life clay both require constant stoking of the Fire, requiring us to remain in the heat for as long as it takes. Bake for His sake.

We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

We do know these trying times indicate evil abounds, but restrained evil, restrained by the Hand of God. We pray Lord Jesus come quickly back to earth and yet right now we must appreciate this time in our lives, to show Jesus being alive to others, THRU US. Reveal Yourself, Lord Jesus, in our every spin of the wheel, the circle game of life.

made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

We know Christ SHINES, how dare we NOT ask for a fresh filling of His Spirit. We KNOW that LIGHT leads. We must allow it to SHINE bright. Our vessels, our jars of clay must be held together in order to hold water too, the Living Water poured into us. When we hold HIS Water, we can feed the flowers of our faith. May our faith flowers ever be in full bloom.

“Let light shine out of darkness”

Amen

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 2nd Corinthians 4:6-10
