My bucket list… it’s many buckets worth…

Got one thing done this weekend that was sorely needed – cleaned out one bucket that had been stuck in my laundry room in the lowest of priorities on the bucket list – but that is also because I didn’t raise it in priority until my clean up of the laundry room to prep it for a roof repair (which didn’t happen in the rain yesterday).

I had THIS bucket on my list, this hodge-podge of fullness bucket had been sitting for like 4-6 months and I finally emptied it. sorted and stored stuff and tossed stuff. It was something I said I needed to do, but put off – like a need to clean one’s house, it haunted me sometimes, and I felt silly having a blockage of not doing it. It is like I said I would have a super clean house before I went back to work. Well, neither has happened in 3 months, LOL – Although I have been been 3 months busy and blessed.

And the bucket, when I DID get to the bucket, took like 10 to 15 minutes to clean it out, that I had delayed like 4 months or so… silly…

And that rain? it was a Godsend to my allergies – washed so much pollen away that I have now sequestered myself in my house ALL DAY to not touch any other pollen. It has been a bad week for my coughing and all that – so much that I lost my voice significantly until now. and now? I am planning to go up home (where there is less pollen) so I am sequestered home until I make that dash to the car tomorrow morning. And the car also on the bucket list was replacing the cabin air filter and wow it was terrible – from the fall – and now it is fresh and I will start fresh in colder fresher non-pollenated air north…

More bucket list things – I took the time to start my new job search by attending a seminar in person yesterday at a church and that was amazing – both overwhelming and amazing – and yet the woman suggested that we don’t try everything at once. So helpful was to open our LinkedIn sites and edit while she presented – so useful. Also we networked so much – and this led me to another bucket list item – mini bucket but still needed – I redid my business cards for this my debbie upper blog page – and also made business cards for my own networking during the job search which contains both the QR code for my linked in profile as well as for my CV directly.. Ordered! check that off the list.

More immediate – having done all my laundry, I am prepping for a trip up home to see my family. Yes more travel on my bucket list: I want to travel and so small things too, and then I remembered that it is vbs season soon in later June and July. I have lots on my bucket list. And I have lots of buckets.

What about our faith buckets? are we refilling those? I have to say that hope at the job search event was a bucket filling item – I was glad I was there. And a faith bucket that is refilling is from my purchase of more faith resources and cards this morning to share. And another faith bucket refill is that the bucket exists in itself because as of yet – I have not “kicked the bucket” – so every day we have not “kicked the bucket” we can get it filled with the Holy Spirit.

And as I remember that Jesus is coming back soon – He will come whether my house is clean or not – whether the business cards get made or not – whether I travel or not – whether I get a job or not. But Jesus will come back and that should fill our buckets to continue working in this life for His sake – to be His Hands and Feet… For the Lord to return (which Jesus has to wait upon God the Father too, to know) is when God says go…  And we wait with buckets open and keeping busy no matter where we are in this world.

We will carry our buckets with us…
