I’m a bit deeper reading into a leadership book “Drive” by Simon Sinek, it’s all about knowing the WHY, sharing the WHY. This leads to forming the HOW, resulting in the WHAT. Inspiration for action.
Why?
How?
What?
Yes, it’s a leadership book, one has to feel like one is going somewhere, making something, that one is on a mission, for work or for anything. People want to know there is a plan and what their part is in it. Others simply want a paycheck. Both situations usually mean working towards a goal. Leadership in companies must read the market too. It’s a complex business thing that requires people skills to make a business model move, stay relevant, be achievable, work.
It takes quite a bit of work to work. It takes leadership and/or self-motivation to pursue work.
Faith, how does faith impact the work we do for the Lord? And around others? Faith brings the works – works and working in faith means following the Leader’s calling and your own calling, faith inspires faith in others, works inspire works too.
If anything we should realize Who our Leader is and Why He leads us, it’s LOVE. We also realize that God works in a different way than us, higher yes, not just complex but other worldly heavenly, super naturally, miraculously, but also in simple ways, and in clear ways. We can follow His example in that the work given to us is because we are given to it, skilled for it. We are “to work at anything as if we are working for the Lord.” – because the Lord will give us an inheritance, not for a reward here on earth.
We can teach, feed, inspire, motivate, heal, befriend, and LOVE.
Why? Love
How? Love
What? Love
And LOVE and FAITH will help us fill in all the details too. The What, How, Why of making God known as our motivator, of making God’s Good News known, it all starts with LOVE. We love because He loved us first… We also should tell others that God loves them.
Keep loving! Love works. That’s the WHY.
Amen
Colossians 3: 22-24
Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.
