Ahhhh, I LOVE PROJECTS! Recently I trained for these elections as a county poll worker – and I’ll be able to direcly help my neighbors (and greet them all, I love that!).
Yes, I hope you all get out to vote when given the chance!
And WOW it’s a process and for me a LEARNING PROJECT that fired up my mental wheels in comprehension of a new electronic plus paper system. EXCITING! And I found this provided 85-page “Election Official” manual is so well made (and has QR codes to extend our training too). That manual plus in person hands-on training experience really reinforced my self-realization that MY BRAIN THRIVES on LEARNING. My scientist brain likes making big projects into manageable steps.
Yes.
And knowing that I am most “at ease” when confident and comfortable in my skillsets, I accepted the training as a novice ready to learn. Sometimes we think we can figure it all out ourselves, but other times it’s a good idea to take the trainings and be open to learning. This is good advice for living. This is an extension of helping projects I’ve worked on for my whole life.
And do you know Who else enjoys PROJECTS and Problem-Solving?
God!
God wants to help us, learn and consult with us about each of our frustrations and accomplishments, even if He already knows the answer, He lets us work them out with Him. God knows us, and He makes us and keeps us as HIS PROJECT!
I have years lab experience, but a simple acid and base mixing experiment, or isolating Strawberry DNA with little kids is STILL exciting. I have sewed by needle since I was little, and by machine too, yet a small project of a button, or a tear fix, is still in my repertoire. A simple recipe often tastes as good as an elaborate one. And a new project, like the Elections Official work, if only for one day, is still a GREAT PROJECT to be passionate about.
And God? He knows every hair on our heads. God holds the whole world together and yet gives us the space to sigh, or laugh, or cry. God holds us in LOVE most of all. And the project pieces? Jesus looks for us, in HolySpirit ever-far-reaching fashion hunts for each of us to see that we DO fit in the Plan.
His Plan. His PROJECT. Us.
Our HOPE is God’s gifted goal.
