I am home from a great week away at home north plus traveling, and you could imagine that life in my subaru is a lifestyle of variety. And I’m so tired it’s hard to get out of the car, but did for some food, then home. So in the morning, I’m looking forward to that refreshed feeling of sleep.
The scriptures that stuck with me on this trip, and in life, are the three on my bracelets: “I can do everything through Christ (who strengthens me)”, Philippians 4:13; “Everything is possible for one who believes”, Mark 9:23; and “Trust in the Lord, with all your heart”, Proverbs 3:5-6.
Sometimes we’re just too tired, but we need to remember the Lord still has us, and He has kept us together!
I can say once again, how grateful I am to the Lord for my adventures, especially these last few months. I have many irons in the fire for activity and that’s not unusual. Variety is the spice of life, but the main dish is always the Lord’s solid sustanance.
I have to say looking at my aunt’s patch quilt, ( I have many aunts, sorry it’s confusing) on my cousin’s guest bed traveling, that the variety in our lives lived is like that, a variety, a patchwork visual to us but firmly placed on foundation by God. He holds the threads and it all works. Our variety is like saying God has everything planned for us, not necessarily that we are robots, but that we are cogs in something turning, as Joni Mitchell would sing. We are blessed to step in life moment by moment, depending upon Him.
And so for today’s variety, and tomorrow’s variety. And everything God does, because Why Not?! Let us trust and be strengthened by Him!
Amen
