I am back from an AMAZING visit to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands!
Here is s VBS dispatch for one of my friend’s churchels, from the Isabella Island!
I prayed so much for God’s help this morning, we rode a speedboat, which made our stomachs upset, but it was worth coming to this place and we did snorkeling, with the turtles, and even saw the fish that were blue!!! God was so good when I got scared, while I was in the water because I’ve never done snorkeling before, and I’m not the best swimmer. But I know that God is everywhere! And he’s always available for us to pray to Him for guidance. I also got left behind and so while I was in the water, I was able to get my legs underneath me and swim by my flippers towards the group. I know God is ALWAYS there!
I truly feel that God is our safe place, and we can travel miles from home, halfway around the world, and god is our safe place, and we can feel secure in Him.
day 4
Here’s my VBS dispatch from the field! Day 4, God is LOVE!!! Today we rode that fast boat again and it was scary for me so again I prayed a lot to Jesus because I know He rescues, Jesus has rescued me so many times, and you too. And all of us have been rescued by Jesus to live FOREVER, because He loves us. God loves us! WOW GOD!!!
We also had a very hard hike today, 2 miles, but at the end, we had a wonderful beach for swimming, and after a very hard hike back, not only did we have our friends helping us, they brought a bus so that we could ride comfortably the rest of the distance. And then they took us to the restaurant for lunch. And so looking at the bus gave us hope that we had the ride. And that’s just like Jesus, because He gives us hope, and He gives us a ride into Heaven. It’s not a bus or a boat. He gave us this ride because of his blood, because he died on the cross and came back to life. Jesus knows the way for all of us to get back Home to be with God in Heaven. And then when we get to Heaven, we’re gonna have a fabulous feast!!!
Plus the other amazing things I saw today were mockingbirds that sang, and we saw more geckos and small lizards and butterflies that weren’t afraid. They are comfortable with us and not afraid, especially because they feel we won’t harm them. Since Jesus takes care of us, we should ALSO not be afraid. And we should feel very blessed and love Him, because He loved us first! God is love! WOW GOD!
