Faith Leaping – Again and Again

Standard

OK – so in between fun stuff – I am still looking for a job, LOL…  SO, I do have a bit of a plan for this renewed job search initiative – now that I am back from my trip(s) which took most of my brain space (gladly)… So now, as I ease into this new plan (and trust me that reading job boards is unpalatable), I am back to networking – which is my favorite part – back to scrolling and scrolling at company websites but with intention to message the people I know at those companies. I am adopting a pattern of some Monday, some Tuesday, some Wednesday, etc – with smaller companies mixed in – yes – there has to be a pattern that works and also doesn’t get old. It may seem easy but it seems icky – so that is why people connecting with people is the best way.

And surely in FAITH – we know that connecting with people is the best bet… Yes, I can feel that there is the right opportunity around the corner – but I am not AT the corner yet – AND I do have a motivation to make it to the corner to turn – and keep turning – but this doesn’t mean I ignore the road in front of me right now. I do wonder the Sunday driver in me, is it too enjoyable to be distracted – because a Monday driver might be better…  IN FAITH – I really need to let God drive – right? RIGHT – and yet know that He also needs me doing my part in putting the pedal to the metal when the time is needing it…

I found (granted this is only day 3 of my RENEWED plan and going OK) that using my creative juices every day in a DIFFERENT way is necessary – and so I have done craft projects and sorting through family history photos – I made a display for a birthday and a display of the family farmhouse barn – in all seasons – nice memories…

And down time – you have to take down time…  So I do get some novelty out of mundane tv watching or video binging – but what I have picked is not just fluff – there are lessons to be learned in people’s journeys – so recently I finished up the 3rd season of Netflix America’s Sweethearts on the DCC Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders – it is interesting viewing and of course the person that is tracked the most is Reese – and she is Christian and is shown as so sweet too – with her newly wed husband and in a supporting relationship. She suffers some health issues (spoiler alert – stop here if you are going to watch it….) Well – she decides to retire from the sport/dance team after 3 years because of many reasons – including and especially listening to the Lord for the next move… She says Leap of Faith – and that is the title of the episode – which is the last episode of the season… And that is such the place we are and we need to be – again and again…  A LEAP OF FAITH – AGAIN AND AGAIN…

In my other movie watching recently was the great story of Mr Rogers and the writer Lloyd in the movie starring Tom Hanks – really a thought provoking and heart grabbing story… Loved it…  And Tom Hanks really brings out the deep faith of Mr Rogers – who acknowledges that faith and life does not come without pain.. I thought it was a great movie to talk about how to handle one’s faith – and how to thank God for the burdens of faith – Mr Rogers prayed by name for thousands of people – and then after it – THANKED GOD for the mission of prayer.

A leap of faith does not mean there is no safety net nor mean that there is no person swinging with you – Jesus is always there – God and His Holy Spirit swing swiftly and securely always there.

Amen – and Thank You Lord again for this peptalk… KEEP LEAPING IN THE FAITH – AGAIN AND AGAIN…

Amen
