Keep the LIGHT On, 04Nov – #452

Keep the LIGHT On, 04Nov

I think about the delight from when I witness so many in Christ, and also the warming hearts when it’s just a few – me and one or two others, it’s still ALL in ALL good… It’s ALL in ALL God…

Even Jesus had only a few physical followers initially for HIS human eyes to see… He did/does have a SPIRIT connection (and so do we) to know that SO many believers did exist then and do exist now even if we don’t know them…  And we, like Jesus, share angst that SO many are lost… His angst must be immeasurable… He works ever harder because if it. The Godhead, three in one, purposed to find the right mix for saving us from ourselves and lifting us for eternal life with Him in JOY.

I think Jesus humanly had joy that He had this small core group of solid followers – but He probably questioned our Father God for why He ONLY got three years, that’s so short a time… perhaps he never questioned but he did pray… HE knew, being God, that there were also those in his close knit group that would eventually fall away (like Peter, Judas, Mark, etc.,) – even those witnessing miracles faded away due to their own humanness…. and so Jesus knew that human pain – on a God-scale!!! His human visual saw doubts and human ears heard verbal angst – such a classic example was the chastising of close disciples Mary and Martha when their brother Lazarus had died – Jesus already knew Lazarus had died, and He had to take the heat – and that this raising was to be used as an example of showing a select group of followers and curious onlookers that He, the Son of God, was sent to demonstrate the almighty power of God… Jesus tears poured out for the lost… Jesus wept… Jesus got back up… Jesus still moved towards HIS mission. SO MUCH to do in such little time…

I don’t know the plan, why did God set up this trickle effect plan of spreading faith… But God does know, He’s an almighty encompassing God with a task of turning individual hearts, one by one these lights of Jesus are turned up inside us.. One by one we feel HIS LOVE meant specifically for us.

Jesus knows He’s tasked to come back, but not when – … The Earth must look like a continually morphing set of glowing hearts… We can and will help stoke the fires of those just around us, as we never know how our beacons of His LIGHT are used by God to spark new hearts… We’re just here for a short time too… Jesus said He had to leave so that the Holy Spirit could come to each of us…

Will Jesus be back anytime soon? not for us to know, just for us to prepare… So in the mean time, “We’ll leave the LIGHT on for YOU” – just like the old Motel 6 commercial said….

We will keep YOUR LIGHT ON Jesus…

We glow so that people know…
YOU grow and they glow…

Motel 6
John 16
5 but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things. 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

20 Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. 21 A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. 22 So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
