Wait a little longer… 06NOV – #965

Standard

We are waiting and waiting… I’m not just talking about election results waiting, but people are waiting for medical reasons and diagnoses and game plans, the imminent decline of a loved ones health, waiting for improvement for health, waiting for perfect timing for special occasions, waiting for everything, waiting for what WE THINK that we need to know. We don’t always NEED to know… perhaps we are waiting and God is busy rallying something without us even knowing. (I’m even waiting for things I can’t control, are you?)

Blessed are the people who keep busy and have a game plan, no matter what the future.  Blessed are the people letting God pick some future focus for themselves… blessed are those not waiting for God to reveal what He ALREADY told you to do.

Fittingly, I am listening to the book of REVELATION and we are all waiting (not that everyone pays attention) for the end of times and beginning of the New Jerusalem… I find an audio reading of the bible, by David Suchet, so convenient and it really makes the word come alive in certain ways…  Honestly the whole book is so deep and vast, that you have to take it in small chunks.

I could write a lot about what is written but today’s soundbite is about the people who are WAITING. https://www.biblegateway.com/audio/suchet/nivuk/Rev.6

Revelation 6:9-11 John writing all this about what he saw:

When he [Jesus, the lamb worthy to break the seal] opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, ‘How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?’. Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been.

Yes, wait…  Jesus had to wait, we have to wait, these martyrs have to wait… and wait we shall, until God has said it’s time.

Yes,  but wait before you complain and think we have seen tough times, there are tougher times ahead, and wait before you just give up waiting, because there are many things to be done. And wait before complaining because there are many things to get lined up and lived up.

Wait because we have it easy compared to those who don’t…  Things we complain about would be a dream scenario in other parts of the world.  And those martyrs? they are working in the world for the WORD, under punishment of death…  Let us remember them today. Wait it out WITH them… even better, pray for them…

AND DO SERVE GOD… NO WAITING REQUIRED.

God’s timing is worth the wait… GOD PRAISE IS WORTH THE TIME.

AMEN
