A poem after seeing the beautiful stars in the dark sky. To the tune of “when you wish upon a star ”
Written after the opportunity to see the observatory, for which I got, because the golf cart rolled by and asked if I wanted a ride, just as I was admiring the beautiful stars walking back from the local watering hole. It is truly a blessing to be here at my reunion and especially timely. Weather it’s great in the 70s… After after breakfast, we took a walking tour. Which led us to a gentleman who toured us through the kilns and glass blowing, and then another tour of the industrial arts printmaking, and everything like that… sat with alumni for dinner, who were very familiar, very familiar with my hometown. Then, walking past the band stand and down to a hangout place, then, the observatory, then home to my freshman dorm… so blessed…
Here’s my my song:
When you wish upon the Lord, doesn’t matter rich or poor
Ask His help and just be blessed
Do your best, He’ll do the rest.
.
When you hope upon the Lord,
Trust in Him, I do implore.
Watch Him turn things, just be blessed,
Wait it out, He’ll do the rest.
.
When you watch upon the Lord,
Answers come and then quite more.
Know He cares to treat you best,
He’ll keep you now forever blessed.
.
Amen.
