Well Happy Father’s Day to everyone dad and dad-like. Happy father’s day to my own dad plus “uncle-dads”, as my cousins have called many of our 6-brother dad uncles. All heaven held now, in Jesus’s hands. In the Love of the Almighty Father.

I know that I am blessed with perspective and certainly travel right now, so on this father’s day I am with family to whom my dad would travel to see as well.  We are all getting older so those of us who are mobile best mobilize. I’m driving to other cousins later today. I say, “God willing, and He usually is…” (I liked looking at the state flag stamps with my cousin, and realizing that instead I would make state cousin pictures stamps if I could. I love traveling and being a connector. )

My grandparents lived in much tougher economic times than we do and raised 6 amazing men and fathers. Really isn’t that the blessing God gives, is the ability to appreciate what we can do to be wise children and respect our elders, and be teachers to our own collective children. Remember we pass on our willingness to engage, to help, in order to see them, the next generation, pay it forward, play it forward, LOVE IT FORWARD…

That is the wisdom of the day, be wise and teach wisdom. 

And do not despise your mother when she is old. Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding. The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him. Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her who bore you rejoice. Proverbs 23:22b-25
