I wrote this just after the riots… we must keep going!!!  Keep running the good race!!!

REFOCUS

“But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry”. Paul to Timothy… 2nd Timothy 3-4

It’s not like we have time to lolly gag, stop ministering, even though crazy times will just get crazier, BECAUSE Christ IS coming again.  Keep running the good race. Yes, rejuvenate and rest up and regroup, but do so in a Spirit of Revival… Like climbing a mountain, get to the next step and don’t dream of getting down, dream of reaching the top. Keep running the race and rallying the team.

The chaos of the world does not change Christ nor should it change Christians. Our cause to teach is just as strong, never-ending and never-wavering…

It’s not like saying: “Don’t sweat the small stuff” in this day and age, because the bad stuff IS bad. INSTEAD, say: “Don’t sweat the satan stuff” and KEEP WORKING FOR THE WORD. Keep your hearts and minds and souls strengthened and secure in the Spiritual Armor of God and keep moving forward in ministry.

Paul kept working, so can we. Paul urged Timothy:

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.”

Paul realized the marathon of ministry was both a good race and a baton-passing relay race where the runners continually get back into the race. They run and rest, they relay and root each other on. They share in the victory too.

Jesus Christ has passed the baton of sharing the truth onto you, keep running until your Timothy runs up beside you to take on his leg… then don’t head out of the arena, keep keeping the faith and keep watching until all knees bow crossing the finish line.

Doesn’t matter if satan runs next to you, faking you out, mocking you, or seemingly in front, you have to believe that Jesus lapped him 2000 years ago. You keep running the race set out for you. Don’t let the false facades make you think that he might win. Know better. KNOW THE TRUTH.

And KEEP TRAINING:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

KEEP YOUR HEAD ABOUT YOU.

“They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”

KEEP RUNNING THE GOOD RACE.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
