We Shall Not Want, 25MAR – #1113

Standard

The Lord is our Shepherd. We shall not want.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want – for things to do, projects to serve Him and wisdom to keep my mind off of earthly follies.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures – for I need rest to keep traveling with Him at Holy Spirit pace.

He leadeth me beside the still waters – for He wants me to drink, not drown.

He restoreth my soul – because He made it.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake – for HIS name not mine, since He has a new name for me up in Heaven, I won’t need my name or reputation or track record, only Him, only His Path for me.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil because He IS good and He is our shield and Savior.

For thou art with me – always and forever.

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me – correcting us from worse danger, and shepherding us to Glory.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies – I know the taste of joy and love from You, whom I trust. I know the dangers You reveal to me so that I may steer clear of them and return to You.

Thou anointest my head with oil – You have chosen each of us as Your own.

My cup runneth over – You are our fountain of strength and direction. I will never tire of Your help, never lack for love nor the vessel to sharingly pour it back out from.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life – I am safest with You. No matter how I am stressed, You make me see how I am blessed.

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever – And I WILL DWELL in YOUR house, as You have filled my house, my heart, my mind, my soul, my life, my everything.

Forever I shall not want,

You are my Shepherd,

You are our Lord.

You are Forever.

Amen
