Hey Lord, I’m Home! #1140

Hey Lord, I’m Home!

It is interesting how we reach out to the Lord, forgetting that He NEVER forgets where we are, what we did, and what our intentions are. He knows that what He has done makes possible what we wonder is probable…  The Lord KNOWS and yet we remind Him our requests, I’m sure He doesn’t mind. It’s not if we pray loudest or longest, but if we pray expecting Him to act. He has, He will, He does. He IS all powerful, why do we doubt.

I am sure He heard my parents’ prayers intently. I got back in the house yesterday, I was nervous not nonchalant, I was careful not carefree. (I kept my mask on in the house, will do so until cases drop, I served myself food but ate it on the porch, a warm up – in a month I will attempt to eat inside the house without fear)… They have had both vaccinations, the relief is palatable, the hope immense. My father most appreciative FOR my mom. She got to give me a hug, much more important than me giving her one. “Hey Lord, I’m home” is a year in the making, one day of a lifetime on this planet yet the most important moment in that moment. Appreciation is called for. Prayers answered. I had to remind myself that prayers said in sure expectation that they would be answered and were. (I don’t regret one ounce of precaution. I keep praying for a continued hedge of protection too for them and me and all the people of the world, for “normal” concerns).

For all our preparations, stringency in safety precautions and waiting, making the best of everything is everything.  Oh, how truly we MUST realize that it is our PRAYERS that are heard MOST strongly with greatest impact over our earthly preparation. We must do the prep and presentation and THEN be present for His power.

The Lord has done it this very day;

Let us rejoice today and be glad.

Lord, save us!  Lord, grant us success!

For all our planning, we must realize that it is His GUIDANCE that is given MOST strongly.

The Lord has done it this very day;

Let us rejoice today and be glad.

For all our LOVE of family and for the Lord, we must realize that HE LOVES US EVEN MORE. He IS Love, for love sake.

Let us rejoice today and be glad.

For as much as I enjoyed hugging my mom, I enjoyed MORE that she got to hug me, I know MOST that she loved hugging me.

Be glad.

For as much as I am OK even with not knowing if my dad can always hear me, I appreciate MORE that he knows what is going on, and he does. For my thankfulness to be secure as I am, I appreciate likewise with Our Father, that He loves to hear us more than we love to speak. He gives more, He sees us to secure.

For as much as I can, I appreciate our Lord. For as much as I can understand, I know that He takes care of us. He loves us MORE than we could ever think to love Him. He IS LOVE.

The Lord has done it this very day;

Let us rejoice today and be glad.

Lord, save us!  Lord, grant us success!

Amen

(Psalm 18/118 were the perfect bible study after dinner last night, me driving back to my camp. Rejoice in the Lord. )

Psalm 18:1-3, 25-32

I love you, Lord, my strength.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I have been saved from my enemies….

…

To the faithful you show yourself faithful, to the blameless you show yourself blameless, to the pure you show yourself pure, but to the devious you show yourself shrewd. You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.

As for God, his way is perfect:

The Lord’s word is flawless;

he shields all who take refuge in him.

For who is God besides the Lord?

And who is the Rock except our God?

It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure

Psalm 118:1

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;

    his love endures forever.

Let Israel say:

    “His love endures forever.”

Let the house of Aaron say:

    “His love endures forever.”

Let those who fear the Lord say:

    “His love endures forever.”

When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;

    he brought me into a spacious place.

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.

    What can mere mortals do to me?

The Lord is with me; he is my helper.

    I look in triumph on my enemies.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord

    than to trust in humans.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord

    than to trust in princes.

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!” I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death. Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord through which the righteous may enter. I will give you thanks, for you answered me;  you have become my salvation.

The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

The Lord has done it this very day;

let us rejoice today and be glad.

Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you. The Lord is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
