My washer is under 10 years old but these occasional floods from an electrical issue are getting frustrating…  So now that I started thinking down the path of replacing it, I realized that a fresh start makes more sense. So, I started thinking also about removing the water heater as well because we don’t need that anymore due to our new oil heater boiler being plenty efficient, there is plenty of hot water without the extra tank.  And that ALSO means I could replace the cracked vinyl floor too. And oh yeah, I’ve had this major situation with my ceiling cracked and exposed where the rain gets in, flood rain and plaster drips over the washer! And And….

Yes, I need to tackle the WHOLE room…

So I pulled up some vinyl floor to let the corner of the room dry from the second flood in 2 days, ugh, and I saw a hidden VBS sticker that I made for crafting, years ago. Give ALL your worries to God because God cares for you… yup… 1st Peter 5:7… GIVE YOUR CARES AND WORRIES!

FITTINGLY, that sticker scripture is the verse after what happens to be a scripture duplicated for me yesterday. Peter speaking from the Psalms 3:34: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” that Psalm is the bible study I heard in the morning. So, actually today had a scripture triple play…

It’s good to acknowledge triple plays of scripture, especially when God is talking about clothes and you are trying to do laundry!  “All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 

God IS the ultimate fix-it God, providing cleaning and sorting and clear direction. God likes cleaning up things and people, like us. Grace washes us in Jesus’s blood for forgiveness. GRACE.

We see grace in our challenges, even in floods and leaks, because they COULD be worse, but they are not. We have grace in His guidance, comfort, compassion and direction.  And we have grace eternal to live and reign with Him. We could be lost, but we are found. 

AND I have the added reinforcement, at the end of the day… MY 20YR OLD DRYER NOW IS ON THE FRITZ AND SOUNDS AWFUL! HAHA!!!  LOL…

As I am at the laundromat right now, I am grateful for a nice clean quiet place, and enough change in my purse to get my laundry started, and enough time to do it before work…. I am grateful for direction and a reminder to humble yourself, and grateful to NOT WORRY…. Did you know it actually is prideful to worry, but it is tough to not worry. We are human, we worry all the time! So remember:  Give your cares to the Lord…  He cares for you, He will guide you… 

Trade your worries and washing machine, trade your old self in for a fresh heart start. It’s not your laundry but His. He wants you clean. Humility goes a long way. He likes the fresh scent of forgiveness to those who humbly ask, Christ covering all…
