Saturday is like an open treasure box, WHAT’S IN IT?
Maybe it’s a new photo box waiting to be filled with memories, trips, get-togethers, fun. Maybe it’s reorganizing old photos, a new collection of treasured memories and mementos that you don’t want to toss but clutter your view, store them and close the box.
Maybe Saturday you will see family, or see yourself scrubbing the house. Maybe you could and should rest up, re-seeing (re-zzz-ing) lost sleep. Take care of the cat at 5AM because they still think it is 6AM. Sip tea, Sit Still or See the Sunrise. Maybe you will do nothing at all but Surrender to Saturday.
Surrender Saturday to the Lord and He will fill it up.
First, THANK the Lord for the week gone, the troubles dissipated, the blessings gathered. Sit up with SomeOne, namely Him, One above all, immersed in His Word, Savoring Solutions to problems not yet encountered, situations that He has already Solved.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
Savor Saturday Surrender.
So later, back to simply Saturday, maybe be shopping (online in your PJs for more sipping tea for under the Christmas tree or stressful shopping scores from crowded stores). Spend Saturday Sporting or Sorting or Storing or Snoring.
Saturday Surely can be Satisfied Sandwiched between Simply Savoring the Sunrise and Soulfully Surmising the Sunset.
Save Saturday for Soulfulness.
Surrender Saturday and Smile.
Amen
