April showers bring: May Flowers, Easter blooming flowers bring: FOREVERS.
I always am amazed at how fast flowers come when the weather triggers just enough warmth. I place the easter eggs on the bare sticks and boom 3 weeks later, it’s hard to take them off because the redbud flowers and leaves are so prolific. Beautiful and tangled by the wind. Some did fall off, but those that held on are now bound in.
Flowers are often completely formed already folded and compacted inside their buds. Water is needed to unfurl the petals. Unleashing spring, not on our calendar cues but based on the weather, the right light, the warmth. The peonies are quickly up to my knees and the iris form as fast as the tulips fade.
We too blossom with the right Light, the Living Water, the Warmth. We too sing Easter songs and tie our ribbons on His Tree. We try not to fade, but embrace new phases of life.
But is there more? More after Easter? YES. Just like the eggs and flowers, there’s us growing up and out, leafing out, branching out – AND BEARING FRUIT.
More after Easter? YES. Jesus in crucifiction said “It is finished” meaning the prophecy fulfilled and the path to Forever opened. Then Jesus walked in Presence for 40 days and then CONTINUES to walk in Spirit with us today. There IS more after Easter, because we are to be in the Spring of Spiritual Growth, even through the Summer heats, Autumn closures, Winter rests.
Winter means we must pre-pare, pre-pare-down our excesses, drop the leaves and baggage that will hinder our walk. But now? SPRING IS NEW. BLOOM!!!
We must BLOOM.
We must BEAR FRUIT.
We must prosper which later provides for harsher times.
After Easter, someday we will see Jesus’s return. As we are caught up in the cloud, what is left here? People who missed His Hope. People who have yet to awaken. Potential martyrs. We have got to leave them some fruit too, dried, preserved, set aside. How will some see after? How can we help them now? Leave a few eggs on the tree. Leave some light to overcome their darkness. Drop hints of the Word scriptures in your walk. Drop the excess leaves but leave the tree visible. Hope they hold on to the tree of life and want to grow into it.
Pray for the un-saved. Pray for them reconnecting to the vine. Pray they are righted by His Righteousness. Pray their buds to start to bloom.
Hold their unfurled HOPE in your prayers. For the sake of Forever.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
