A PRAYER

Lord – we know that saying that the only Bible verses that SOME people will read might be OUR OWN ACTIONS. You are to be the path of OUR WALK. May we always be displaying what you have called us to do – love everyone and especially love our enemies, those who seek to do us harm or simply bug us. May we pray like your servant David, even in venting outrage, “While they curse, may YOU bless;” – let us pray for our enemies’ hearts before we curse them back. Help us and all to know that they have forgiveness in you – and let us believe that too.

There is nothing Lord that we have done to make us more worthy than others, and like our enemies, we are broken too. You are the ONLY Way to Heaven – we are all on individual crosses next to You. Your cross next to us to get close to us – may we always remember that You are pursuing us AND our enemies equally.

Lord, “Create in us a clean heart”. If we struggle in ourselves for forgiving others – then may we tap into YOUR LOVE, sharing YOUR UNLIMITED LOVE. We are to love our enemies because You love them.

Teach us Lord, just as your servant David prayed: “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for YOU are God my Savior, and my hope is in YOU all day long.”

Let us display Your forgiveness for ALL.

We pray these things, Jesus, in Your everlasting, good, worthy and Holy Name,
