There was only one thing that concerned me about my new blue Subaru, even more than financial things, was/is the industrial cleaner smell from the scrubbing they must have done… it’s pre-owned in EXCELLENT condition, the small stains don’t bother me, how could I ever tell with the way I pack it! And I’ve packed it twice, plus already trash picked in it, a small stepstool… (I even trash picked picture frames in my loaner, LOL)…

The smell…  I have a super sensitive smelling sense. My whole life it has been a blessing and a curse. But one’s sense of smell is also controlled by God (as everything is), we can ask for endurance and understanding. 

When the A/C is on, I don’t smell it. It possibly is in the engine or I don’t know. A cleaner or the thing it was trying to clean. I DON’T smell it after being in the car for a while.  Either way, it was not bad enough to break this deal of a great car for me, at this or any price. This Subaru I am calling my Whale… I even got a cute sticker. I KNOW what God needs me to realize: that I am being carried in the stomach of this Whale. I am being swept to places while protected inside against His Waves. 

No, I never named my Subarus, only referenced to them by color. And yet my blue Subaru, the 2008, was my “Salvation Subaru” – I truly came to Christ over a 6 week period while having MANY opportunities in the commute to THINK. And for the Lord to find me where I was… lost…

Found. I am now Found. Good God, I pray you all know that feeling, that humbling,  loved, looked for, realizing, restoration and scoop up out of the unknown into the known. I pray you realize God reeling you in… I pray you a born again birth by water and light… Jesus catches you like a baby and raises you into life to save you from death… Jesus. 

The Whale…  this blue Subaru is named not according to the smell, like as if I actually have to live and move inside a whale’s stomach ICK, but because I DO have to be like Jonah and GO WHERE THE LORD NEEDS ME TO GO!!! AND BRING HIS MESSAGE. We need to know God’s love is to be carried IN IT’S WAY into the world in order to bring it all back in to Him. Like the waves of the ocean out and in.  So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

Like the water through a Whale’s blow hole, you have to clear your breathing space and your thinking place.  God has PLANS for you. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Let us not be like Jonah and begrudgingly go into the world – nor wait for it to crumble so that we can say “I told you so”…  Let us not watch the world in sideshow fashion, but bring more of God’s Word and Love to the people – because HE IS THE MAIN EVENT…

LET US RIDE HIS WAVE AND KEEP SWIMMING – THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO NEED TO HEAR ABOUT HIS GOOD NEWS!
