For Those Left Behind, 31MAR – #1118

Standard

So many knickknacks let alone houses, we leave so much behind when we pass. Many family estates are neither a volume of riches or junk but a lot of both – depending upon whose needing it or not… Mine too. Pieces of platinum or plastic – even a little scrap of paper might mean a lot or a little. It is all in the eyes of the beholder, and what they see. Oh, what will burden or bless others who sort thru your stuff?

What about our legacy of FAITH?

Think long term and we must reduce the burden of our children, think long term and we must leave behind the best of our legacy: an encouragement for them and others to know Jesus and keep the faith. If they don’t know, leave them a reminder to expand their faith, seeing how much you loved the Lord. Live your life as knowing AND showing His LOVE. Leave behind a “bread of life crumb trail”, a pathway detailed, a simple urge for others to FIND THE LORD.

Do NOT quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.

May we pray that all FIND THE LORD, ESPECIALLY SINCE HE IS already LOOKING for each one. Look Him up in the book. Not the phone book. Not the bank book. Find Jesus where He lives, in the Good Book, which IS the roadmap of Him written in your heart. Keep Him, share Him, know Him. First you must find Him. Turn the page.

In end times, those who know Him as Lord and Savior, whose eyes of their hearts opened up to be found, will be taken up into Heaven because of His path opening the Way. Those left behind will need extra road maps, they will need the bibles and scriptures. Certainly we should leave the faith equivalent of big neon signs of encouragement for them to “look this Way”… We need to lay down treasures and instead leave trails. We need to reduce our own piles of anything cluttering our own path, and instead forge a legacy of love to pull others away from the distracting piles of the world. Junk, I love good junk, especially when I have not paid for it. But how deeper wider do I LOVE the SALVATION of the Lord, which I don’t deserve, AND I COULDN’T PAY FOR IT IF I TRIED!

If you get stuff, give it away. If you get LOVE, give it away – Love is for freeing souls.

The day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. DON’T BLOCK YOUR OWN PATH BY YOUR OWN JUNK. DON’T DISTRACT THEIR PATH BY JUNK EITHER.

It is a simple fact, we can’t take anything with us and we won’t be able to help others when we are taken up into Heaven unless we leave a little bit of Jesus here for them to find. The Holy Spirit is for sharing. Leave His Road Maps and Wind Trails.  In Revelation 6, the lost will hide. Surely, we instead want our loved ones and everyone to know to look FOR the Lord for saving, not hide in shame. Let us leave open lives of the roadmaps of our hearts showing highlighted routes by which He found us and bridged us. Let the Word pass THRU us, not just to us.

Leave Your Love maps out in plain view.

Live to show that you acknowledge that He is Worthy of all praise:  “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being” Revelation 5

Live to glorify!

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 1 Thessalonians 4:1

Live to Look UP!

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

Pray for those who don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior

Revelation 6:15-17 – (AFTER the seals opened and previous opportunities given to be saved)   Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”

LIVE TO SHINE LIGHT!!!

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.  You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.  So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.  Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-24, 28

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Amen
