Thankful for TRUST

Standard

A friend of mine was talking about her husband in the hospital, and her statement pertains to our every day to day situations as well… She said: “I know God is in control and nothing happens to us without His knowledge or consent. God loves us. He hasn’t lost control. And I can trust Him.

Trust… and one step at a time…

This means if good things happen, He is giving them to us on purpose, and He wants to use them for greater good. ALL GOOD THINGS ARE FROM GOD. Perhaps the good things give us relief or joy or awareness of Him. Trust God.

This means if bad things happen, He knows that we will handle them and He asks us to trust Him even more and not lash out in sin. Perhaps the bad things make us realize how to better handle ourselves and our expectations or force us to REALLY TRUST HIM.

This means if we don’t know what to do, ASK Him. Take only one step at a time IF you can only see one step in front of you. If you can KNOW Jesus is telling you to TRUST HIM to get out of your comfort zone, like Peter from the boat, GO FURTHER- but DON’T LOSE THE FIXATION OF YOUR EYES ON JESUS.

TRUST.

I am THANKFUL for TRUST.

(And if Jesus is not beckoning you to go out on the water, don’t let someone bully you to go out there. Don’t let scare tactics move you in haste either. Put your “anchor behind the veil”. TRUST GOD because He gave Jesus to us to anchor us into God’s grace. He is the sacrifice required and the sacrificer all in One.

Yesterday, I finally had a particular piece of mail envelop in my hand from seeing my “informed delivery” email from the postoffice. I  got the email Saturday, however the piece of mail didn’t come until Monday. I didn’t know what was inside, but saw the envelop’s outside and my mind started RACING a hundred miles an hour. Then I said to myself “STOP”, there is a reason why I don’t have it yet, tomorrow’s worry, God wants me to TRUST today and not get off track. God doesn’t want us to sink before we even swim. God does not want us to worry about TOMORROW’S worries. Focus on TODAY… Focus on Him!!! I opened it and the result was different than I had feared or conjured up in my head, and I was OK. No plans were derailed. No lesson was more learned than TRUST. God’s got this.

TRUST.

Amazing Grace lyrics:

Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come.

This grace that brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home

Have a TRUSTING THANKFUL DAY.

AMEN

Hebrews 6:17-20

Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.
