If I Had a Choice, 22MAY
If I had a choice, I’d choose freedom, But I don’t always exercise my freedom wisely.
If I had a choice, I’d choose obedience, I’d choose devotion to God’s Will. I do have a choice because God gave me free will. But I don’t always submit to God like I should. I don’t always turn down the freedom of free will, I usually pay the price when I don’t follow God.
If I had a choice, I’d choose Jesus. I’d choose life thru Him. I’d choose salvation because I need it. I’d choose freedom from sin because I have it. There is no say in my salvation except to say “I surrender” – “I need my Savior”. I don’t always appreciate like I should that Jesus will take it the rest of the Way.
If I had a choice, I’d close my mouth from bickering but open it for praise.
If I had a choice, I’d close my ears to painful distracting bickering, but try to listen to Jesus reminding me that I am saved.
If I had a choice, I’d close my eyes to disaster, but keep my eyes open to His workings.
If I had a choice, I’d keep choosing.
If I had a choice, I’d choose Jesus all over again.
If I had Jesus, I’d realize that I never didn’t have Him. I’d realize that He chose me. I was chosen. He chooses us.
Jesus could have been given a choice to save us. His choice was made in the beginning. He knew the end. He chose the cross over the collapse of the world. He chose choosing. He chose chasing and catching sheep. Jesus will never lose those He’s given.
Jesus chooses all.
Jesus chooses you.
Amen
