I remember how faithful God is – I have WOWs of witness – I have hope – I have experienced the little and the big monumental steps of watching my children GROW!!!!!!!!!!  I passed by a yellow sign in a neighborhood and took a photo- Watch Children – well – God has watched over my children and watched over me and I am THANKFUL!!!

Monday night, my son picked up his new car – WOW – an Intense blue one – WOW. And yesterday my daughter told me that she was signing her paperwork for a job offered to her – at the firm where she did a winter internship – and where she has been working each Friday during the semester when she had no classes – working remotely on her laptop doing the click click click of architect programs for a symphony hall restoration project for their water damage. The firm even delivered the laptop TO her – yeah – crazy WOW… Now, one month before she graduates she has her first “real” job.  GOD IS GOOD – HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD.

My son has been working too – over a year now – full time and dedicated and dependable and on time each day…  He will take on the car payments – and his part of the insurance…  I only co-signed to give my credit score dependability to help lower the interest rate (which is outrageous these days but we may refinance later)…  The salesman could not have been more excellent and real and focused on him as a grownup rather than a kid. The salesman and the  finance guy stayed late that evening to help finish the sale of 3 cars – they both covered someone else’s shifts because those people had called out sick.- they showed dependability – we walked out of the place (drove out) at 930 pm, from a 7pm appointment, not bad for a car pickup.

My WOW – “what’s our witness” – is God’s Dependability – God’s blessing to show me that He is in control – God’s blessing to take care of me and my children when I hit some bumps in the road, He had the traction to keep me sane. Now of course it is interesting to say that both my kids are on my medical insurance until age 26 – because we are the insurance that they get into the world OK – we ARE the insurance that God trusted His children to us – we as parents are blessed to see these milestones – and even though sometimes we get the brush-off (I certainly do) – we also get the witness of them growing and maturing…  I called to my son as he jumped in his new car: “I love you” = and instead of the grunt, I heard “I love you” back – first time in a couple years. It is not that I doubted the love and I don’t do things for my kids so that they love me or say it flippantly – it is that I do things for my kids because I know that Love exists deeply and God has blessed me to work hard to work for them – and all….  hearing the love in my ears was good but SEEING the joy in him was really the joy in my heart….

God has blessed me to know that He loves me too…  as His child…  I remember – I remember is a great song to belt out in the car – which I did just after that yellow “watch children” sign. It and “How Great is Our God” were the next songs on my youtube auto-play….  Yeah – True – how GREAT is our God!!!!
