Our Father Overlaps Us in Forgiveness, 23SEP – #936

Standard

Overlapped, the Lord has us overlapped and carefully carried to bridge us thru this world. We are not to fret or fight, but to look to how He takes care of us. The biggest mental overlap to bridge us from us here on earth to Eternity is that He has already and ALWAYS wanted us in His Kingdom. We go from here to there. The best possible overlap is our salvation, in our Savior Jesus, thru our Vine, our forgiveness and our hope. The emotional intensely feeling of deliverance, overlap between ourselves and our Father can be shared in a gifted prayer, given for any moment that we don’t know what else to say or pray, Jesus gave us these words: Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Any and all unknowns, we have a bridging prayer. We have both a requesting prayer as well as a requirement prayer: Give us this day, our Daily Bread. (That’s Jesus!!! That’s not simply our meals but our whole sustenance that we need daily)…  And forgive us our trespasses (that’s a request, that requires us to follow Jesus) As we forgive those who trespass against us. (That’s a requirement)

If we have yet to forgive others, it’s an action plan. If we have yet to forgive ourselves, it’s a command. If you look at different versions of the bible, there are differences in tense. Past tense: “as we have forgiven” vs present tense “as we forgive” vs future tense “keep us forgiving“… I never noticed the difference before, in these differences in translation, and yet all are true as there is one Christ Jesus and one forgiveness and one hope. Past, Present,  Future,  all forgiveness requires Jesus.

NIV: And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

NKJV: And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

MSG:  Keep us forgiven with you and forgiving others.

And Lead us NOT into temptation. But deliver us from evil. Ah, we are human beings, so human, and the blessings we have that we forget, the yearnings we have that cloud our hearts and minds, the omissions we make that clutter our sight… human human human. What are we to do? Believe in the One God sent. Trust in Jesus to see our Spirits out of our fray.

To add the extra verse is to know these given truths of our lives IN Jesus, that EVEN JESUS would attest that God is all in all. Jesus even being one with the father gave ALL credit to Our Father:

For THINE is the KINGDOM, and the POWER, and the GLORY, FOREVER.

AMEN

Yes Amen, and yes forever ago and forever forward into forever. As far as east is from the west we forgiven and are wanted. As fallen we might feel from our view of Him at times, His love takes a never ending view of us. HIS LOVE never ends, He always has us in His sight. Jesus has us in His Care. The Spirit advocates for our inclusion.

We are OVERLAPPED by Grace. Forgiven by Grace. Included as Children of God.

Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord, oh my soul.

Amen

———-

Psalm 103 (NIV)

Praise the Lord, my soul;  all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

The life of mortals is like grass,  they flourish like a flower of the field;  the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children — with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts,  you his servants who do his will.

Praise the Lord, all his works

    everywhere in his dominion.

Praise the Lord, my soul.
