Dropped from the Sky, 11NOV – #500

For this writing I had the title for days, I have the AMAZING incidents that prompted it, AMAZING blessings seemingly dropped out of the blue – dropped out of the sky…BUT this particular writing I am not sure is done or even being forced by the Lord to get out thru my fingers… But I will write this time anyway as a THANK YOU to our good Lord – sending my love back up and out to our great God.

I know this writing is number 500. My mind blown away and constantly replaced with His Peace… That’s staggering to me, 500 in nearly 3 years, that’s all in a normal workload for God… Lighting my path… Lord I LOVE you forever and more and more with each step.

“Each new day is a kiss, sent from up above, with an angel’s love” (Joni Mitchell)

Processing and prodding, production and peace…. It is peace all along that God aims to share… It was always about the peace… It’s ALWAYS about PEACE.

Dropped from the Sky, 11NOV

God provides, and sometimes, especially recently, things that God has provided in blessings seemingly have dropped from the sky…

Scripture reminds me that things of the world are evil… want and need and all that…. “Of the world” not of God…. But if God placed us into this world then perhaps we are bound to bump into God sightings, God’s children, God’s spirit… Yeah – how could we not….

I could endlessly tell you what dropped from the sky this week, this month, and especially this year…. But you have similar occurrences I am sure… And suffice it to say, God provides… Don’t worry about what you want or think you need (Matthew 25)… Don’t look to the world (1 John 2)…. Look to God…

But perhaps my biggest failing now and in the past – yes probably ALL our biggest failing – is when we are surprised at how God takes care of us! For me to simply think things have been dropping from the sky in surprise gain (or loss), means that I (we) simply haven’t connected how God works every last detail, and we fail to see His behind the scenes work…. But this is not a surprise; we miss a lot of cues and clues because we are human. AND this is not a surprise, for He’s God for God sake!!!  How to even begin to understand the depth of His LOVE???…. How can we even try to rethink His ways (Job 38)…

How did you do that Lord? How?

Why did you do that for me Lord? Why?

God is God… He’s got no tricks up His sleeve, but a path under our feet… If we walk and watch the path then we are bound to find that He’s been blessing us all along, because He has…. If we look up to anticipate gifts from the sky or sideways to plans of the world then we are likely to trip and fall from the path… So, where do we look? We look straight ahead, we plow ahead (Luke 9:62), and we look for the sure but narrow path….

And we thank the Lord….

And we LOVE this Father of ours…

And we LOVE His ways and His Children…

And we LOVE His Son.

We work for His PEACE.

The lamp is lit, let’s keep walking….

Matthew 6:25

Here is the bottom line: do not worry about your life. Don’t worry about what you will eat or what you will drink. Don’t worry about how you clothe your body. Living is about more than merely eating, and the body is about more than dressing up. 26 Look at the birds in the sky. They do not store food for winter. They don’t plant gardens. They do not sow or reap—and yet, they are always fed because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are even more precious to Him than a beautiful bird. If He looks after them, of course He will look after you. 27 Worrying does not do any good; who here can claim to add even an hour to his life by worrying?

28 Nor should you worry about clothes. Consider the lilies of the field and how they grow. They do not work or weave or sew, and yet their garments are stunning. 29 Even King Solomon, dressed in his most regal garb, was not as lovely as these lilies. 30 And think about grassy fields—the grasses are here now, but they will be dead by winter. And yet God adorns them so radiantly. How much more will He clothe you, you of little faith, you who have no trust?

31 So do not consume yourselves with questions: What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear? 32 Outsiders make themselves frantic over such questions; they don’t realize that your heavenly Father knows exactly what you need. 33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things will be given to you too. 34 So do not worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Living faithfully is a large enough task for today.

Job 38 (NIV)

The Lord Speaks

38 Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. He said:

“Who is this that obscures my plans
with words without knowledge?
Brace yourself like a man;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.

“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation?
Tell me, if you understand.
Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!
Who stretched a measuring line across it?
On what were its footings set,
or who laid its cornerstone—
while the morning stars sang together
and all the angels shouted for joy? …. (continued….)
